Paragraph dialog box

Sets paragraph settings for selected multiline text. This dialog box opens when you click the down arrow in the ribbon's Paragraph group of the multiline text editor, or if the ribbon is unavailable, when you right-click the text area of the editor and choose Paragraph.

DIALOG BOX OPTIONS

Tab To add a new tab, select the alignment, enter its value, then click Add. Tabs can be set as left, center, right, or decimal. To modify a tab, select it in the list and click Modify. To delete a tab, click Remove.

Specify Decimal Style Select the symbol to use for decimal points. Available only when Decimal is selected.

Paragraph Spacing Mark to use spacing between paragraphs, then enter the spacing to apply before and after the paragraph.

Left Indent In First Line, enter the left indent for the first line, and in Hanging, enter the left indent for subsequent lines of the paragraph.

Right Indent Enter the right indent for the paragraph.

Paragraph Alignment Mark to use paragraph alignment, then choose an alignment. Left aligns the paragraph on the left, Center aligns the paragraph in the center, Right aligns the paragraph on the right, Justified aligns on both the left and right while adjusting the spacing between words, and Distributed aligns on both the left and the right while adjusting the spacing between letters.

Paragraph Line Spacing Mark to use spacing between lines of a paragraph. Then specify the following options:

• Line Spacing Choose one of the following:
• At least Sets line spacing according to both the specified value and text height. If the text height is smaller than the specified value, the line spacing is set to the specified value. If the text height is larger, the line spacing is set to the text height.
• Exactly Sets line spacing to the specified value. The line spacing doesn't change if the text height changes.
• Multiple Sets line spacing according to the text height.
• At Enter the spacing to apply between lines of a paragraph according to the selected Line Spacing option.
