Dimension Input Settings dialog box



Allows you to customize settings for dimensions during dynamic input. Dimension input is a field near the cursor that displays and accepts distance and angle values when a command prompts you for a second point or a distance. This dialog box displays when you click Settings for dimension input on the Drawing Settings - Dynamic Input tab.

DIALOG BOX OPTIONS

Display During Grip Editing Choose one of the following (this setting corresponds to the DYNDIVIS system variable):

  • One Dimension Input Field Only Select to display one dimension input field, which can vary depending on the entity selected.
  • Two Dimension Input Fields Select to display two dimension input fields, which can vary depending on the entity selected.
  • Any Combination of Dimension Input Fields Select to display all enabled dimension input fields marked below. (This setting corresponds to the DYNDIGRIP system variable.)
      • Resulting Dimension Mark to display the length dimension.
      • Length Change Mark to display the change in length.
      • Absolute Angle Mark to display an angle dimension.
      • Angle Change Mark to display the change in angle.
      • Arc Radius Mark to display the radius of an arc.

    Use ANGBASE angle Mark to use the ANGBASE system variable when specifying the north direction relative to the current UCS. If unmarked, ANGBASE is ignored which can lead to unpredictable results in some cases. (This setting corresponds to the DYNUSEANGBASE system variable.)
