Alias: -VP, VPOINT

Selects the viewpoint for a three-dimensional look at your drawing. You can specify a point in three-dimensional space to look back at the origin (0,0,0). You can select viewpoints when you are viewing a drawing in model space. You cannot use this command in paper space.

PErspective ◆ PLan ◆ Rotate ◆ <View point> <0.000000,0.000000,1.000000>: To accept the current setting, press Enter. To specify a new point from which to view your drawing, select the viewpoint coordinates, or enter new values for the x-,y-, and z-axes. To view the drawing in perspective, choose PErspective. To change the plan view, choose PLan. To rotate the view, choose Rotate.

Choose PErspective.

Perspective ON ◆ OFF <Off>: To accept the current setting, press Enter. To turn perspective on, choose ON. To turn perspective off, choose OFF.

Perspective: Front clipping ◆ Back clipping ◆ OFF ◆ <ON>: To turn front clipping on, choose Front clipping. To turn back clipping on, choose Back clipping. To turn perspective off, choose OFF.

To change the plan view

Choose PLan.

Plan view of: UCS ◆ World ◆ <Current UCS>: To accept the current setting, press Enter. To change the plan view to a defined UCS, choose UCS. To change the plan view to the World Coordinate System, choose World.

Choose UCS.

? to list ◆ <Name of UCS>: Enter the name of a defined UCS. To view a list of UCS definitions, choose ?.

To rotate the view

You can specify the new viewing direction by selecting the two angles in which to view the drawing.

Choose Rotate.

Angle in XY plane from X axis <270°>: To accept the current setting, press Enter, or enter a new value.

Angle from XY plane <90°>: To accept the current setting, press Enter, or enter a new value.
