() Toolbar: Draw 3D Solids > Sweep Ribbon: Draw 3D > Sweep (in Draw 3D Solids) Menu: Draw > 3D Solids > Sweep Keyboard: _SWEEP Creates a three-dimensional solid or surface by sweeping an entity along a path. Entities that you can sweep include 2D polylines, lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, elliptical arcs, 2D and 3D splines, 3D solid faces, and 2D solids. Entities that can be the path include 2D and 3D polylines, lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, elliptical arcs, 2D and 3D splines, helixes, and edges of solids, surfaces, or meshes. To create a swept solid or surfaceSelect entities to sweep or [MOde]: If necessary, select Mode and choose whether to create a swept solid or surface, then press enter. Select entities to sweep or [MOde]: Select one or more entities to sweep. When done, press Enter. Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: Select the path on which to sweep the entity. To align the sweep entity before sweepingSelect sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: Choose Alignment. Align sweep entity perpendicular to path before sweep [Yes/No] <Yes>: Choose Yes to automatically align the sweep entity to be perpendicular (normal) to the tangent direction of the sweep path. Choose No to turn off automatic alignment. To specify the base point of the sweep entity before sweepingSelect sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: Choose Base point. Specify base point: Select the base point of the sweep entity. To scale the sweep entity before sweepingSelect sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: Choose Scale. Enter scale factor or [Reference]<1.0000>: Enter a scale factor for the sweep entity. If there are multiple sweep entities, the scale factor is applied to each entity. Or, you can choose Reference to select reference points in the drawing for scaling. To twist the sweep entitySelect sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: Choose Twist. Enter twist angle or allow banking for a non-planar sweep path [Bank] <0.0000>: Enter the degrees in which to rotate the sweep entity along the path. If there are multiple sweep entities, the twist angle is applied to each entity. You can also choose Bank to determine whether the sweep entity being swept rotates along a 3D path such as a 3D polyline, spline, or helix. Tell me about...How do I... |
