() Toolbar: Draw 3D > Ruled Surface Ribbon: Draw 3D > Ruled Surface (in Draw 3D Meshes) Menu: Draw > 3D Meshes > Ruled Surface Keyboard: _RULESURF or AI__RULESURF Experience Level: Advanced Creates a three-dimensional polygon mesh that approximates a ruled surface between two curves. You can select a line, arc, circle, point, or polyline. You can use a point for only one of the ends of the mesh. The end point of each curve nearest the point at which you selected it is the 0,0 vertex. You can use the SURFTAB1 system variable to define the number of M-direction surfaces on the ruled surface.
Select entity to define first end of ruled surface: Select the first entity. Select entity to define other end: Select the second entity. If the first entity is an open entity (such as an arc or line), the second entity must also be an open entity. If the first entity is a closed entity, the second entity must also be a closed entity. TIP To create a polygon mesh, select each entity at the same end. To create a self-intersecting polygon mesh, select each entity at opposite ends. Tell me about...How do I... |
