Workspaces: PMSPACE

Experience Level: Intermediate

Displays the Workspaces dialog box, from which you can create viewports and select the type of workspace in which you want to work. You may need to switch to the Model tab or a Layout tab before you can select a workspace.

DIALOG BOX OPTIONS

Create Viewport Click to create a viewport on the Model tab.

Select Workspace Select one of the three types of workspaces to create:

  • Model Space, with floating viewports [TILEMODE off] (layout viewport with Layout tab active)
  • Model Space, with tiled viewports [TILEMODE on] (Model tab active)
  • Paper Space [TILEMODE off] (Layout tab active)

When you switch from model space in a layout viewport (on a Layout tab) to model space on the Model tab, the layout viewports seem to disappear. This is normal. Layout viewports do not display when you switch to the Model tab. They are retained, however, and display normally when you switch back to the Layout tab.
