() Toolbar: Format > Layer States Manager; Layer Tools > Layer States Manager Ribbon: Home > Layer States Manager (in Layers) Menu: Format > Layer States Manager Keyboard: _LAYERSTATE Alias: LAS, LAYERSETTINGS, LMAN Displays the Layer States Manager dialog box so you can view, restore, create, edit, import, and export layer states. DIALOG BOX OPTIONS Name Displays layer states. New Click to create a new layer state. The New Layer State dialog box displays. Edit Click to modify the settings of the selected layer state. The Edit Layer State dialog box displays. Save Click to copy current layer settings from the drawing to the selected layer state. Rename Click to change the name and description of the selected layer state. The Rename Layer State dialog box displays. Delete Click to delete the selected layer state. Import Click to import a layer state (.las file). Export Click to export the selected layer state to an .las file. Don't List Layer States in XReferences Click to hide layer states located in externally referenced drawings. Layers Not Found in State are Turned Off Click to turn off drawing layers that are not in the selected layer state when it is restored. After the layer state is applied, the only layers that will be turned on are those that are included in the layer state. If unmarked, the on/off status of unmatched layers is not changed. Apply properties as viewport overrides Layer properties are applied as overrides in the current viewport when the selected layer state is restored. Layers Not Found in State are Frozen in the Current Viewport Click to freeze drawing layers in the current viewport that are not in the selected layer state when it is restored. After the layer state is applied, the only layers that will be thawed in the current viewport are those that are included in the layer state. If unmarked, the freeze/thaw statuses of unmatched layers are not changed. Restore Layer State To Select whether to restore the layer state to the current viewport, all viewports, all layouts and viewports, or the Model tab. If the Model tab is active, you can only restore the layer state to the current viewport. Layer Properties to Restore Select which properties of all layers included in the layer state to apply. If a property is not marked, that property will not be applied for matching layers. Select All Click to select all layer properties. Clear All Click to deselect all layer properties.
