  1. Select the entity you want to copy.
  2. Specify the base point.
  3. Specify the displacement point for the copy.

Result.

To copy entities by selecting the base point

  1. Select the entity you want to copy.
  2. Specify the base point.
  3. Specify the displacement point for the copy.

Result.

Select the base point. The base point need not be anywhere near the entity being copied. If you enter an x,y,z value for the location of the copies, for example, 3,3,2, the copied entities are placed at a distance of 3 units in the x direction, 3 units in the y direction, and 2 units in the z direction.

Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>: Specify the point of displacement, or press Enter to use the first point as the displacement. The copy of the entity is placed at a point that is the difference between the point you used to select the entity and the base point you selected.

Specify second point or <Exit>: Specify another point for creating multiple copies, or press Enter. To copy an entity along a path, use the Divide or Measure commands with the Block option. To copy an entity in a rectangular or polar pattern, use the Array or 3D Array commands.

To prompt for single copies only
